@Orteid So Kavanaugh mused in a Minnesota journal back in 2009 that a President, being a single person who is tasked with dealing with soooooooooo much power to keep the country going, should not be distracted by civil suits while he's a sitting president. He observes a blind spot in the constitution in how to deal with this, and recommends Congress pass a law clarifying what should happen on if the President(chief enforcer of the law) is brought to court as President. **He noted that Congress still has the constitutional remedy of impeachment if they find it necessary**, and in his musing any civil suits would be delayed until after his term ends and they become private citizens again, *not dismissed*

Of course, Democrats are taking this and running with it that Kavanaugh would block impeaching Trump

@Legiondude That makes intuitive sense, but how would that play out? Sounds like a president would have to be impeached BEFORE any proper investigation could be done to determine guilt or innocence
