Let's say I wasn't Christian, even then...if I were in your shoes, mandatory military service is only meaningful, in my opinion if:

A - if unmarried

1. 1 year of basic training + firearms
2. 2nd year, go do peacekeeping mission aboard for you countrys interest.

B - if married
1. same as above
2. Border security duty.
