Its more a fake idea of variety

when in reality u got 4 choices

and thats when you line up all their policies

in Indonesia, at least, you have different flavors of political leanings as each party have different flavors between religious, seculars, democratic, conservatives, socialists, etc.

Welp the green party here used to be very heavy on enviroment and stuff

but in recent years its more a socialist party with some enviromental flavours as an afterthought

yeah

it's rather weird to see the evolution of green party

but eh.... I don't think there's a way to get a third national party to show up in America

like seriously, my family have changed political party choice for so many times since it doesn't really matter on what you pick, but who you pick.

I have yet to vote for the same party twice

since we pick a candidate on each candidate's merit

instead of purely on their political party

(although some people do pick party choices)

Yes but,

over here they can put a majority party out of the whole system

if the other parties decided to band together against said party

and it only has to collect enough to form a majority

essentially you can end up with your vote being the majority vote and still end up in the opposition

and when you are dealing with an increasing partisan mentality

well, look at trump and how everything he says or does is bad per default according to some ppl

ive seen that already in my country with a certain party, which are pretty far right lets be honest
