I don't think a lot of people in Asia can pinpoint belgium on their first try

unless they either into history or international relations

i dont know, apparently they do and know more of the combined history then people think

at least they understand that they cant expect the current generation to "fix the past" i cant do anything to fix that. But i can say that i never thought about anything regarding race untill recently when people started to non stop talk about it.

Some think we should but you always gonna have those people regardless

it is fair to say tho that schools should do more teaching about our history with congo

because i learned very little of that in school

but in a factual way not in the "you are bad because history" way

what I hope people to do is not fix the past, but acknowledge the sins of our fathers, where things went wrong and do better. Is it not what you can draw from learning history?

Well what we would draw from learning history is that totalitarian states are a bad idea

and the left cant have that.

Thats what history does but the current mentality seems to think that history needs to be rewritten

the only way I can endorse histroy being rewritten is to remove most of the bias held by each countries to paint the truth.

Today we think of things that were held dear and were normal 50 years or so ago as reprehensible

like historical misconception during cold war, etc.

But what people always do, and i dont think that will ever go away, is to think that NOW we reached the end point.

My point is, theres only a handfull of people of each generation that manage to be truly special.
