but west europe is effectively socialist in the sense that its massive taxes, to give subsidies to the poor, so they can then buy the products

2018-10-16 10:58:03 UTC

maybe they'll do better once May is out
but i haven't heard of any convincing candidates yet

2018-10-16 10:58:14 UTC

Jacob Rees Mogg

2018-10-16 10:58:14 UTC

But that is not whats happening here wol

2018-10-16 10:58:17 UTC

wew

2018-10-16 10:58:22 UTC

thats the only way I vote tory

2018-10-16 10:58:22 UTC

whats happening here is massive taxes

2018-10-16 10:58:27 UTC

Social programs by themselves aren't socialist

2018-10-16 10:58:32 UTC

and government subsidizing companies to hire people

2018-10-16 10:58:37 UTC

not people themselves

2018-10-16 10:59:00 UTC

they somtimes pay up to half someones salary so they would hire people

2018-10-16 10:59:03 UTC

its a total failure

2018-10-16 10:59:11 UTC

France is the most socialist country. everyone else is degrees

2018-10-16 10:59:14 UTC

its pretty much the same thing, the wealthy pay for someone elses extra money which they didn't earn, so they can buy the same things taht the wealthy actually worked for

2018-10-16 10:59:22 UTC

when the problem is the cost, imposed by government, to hire people

2018-10-16 10:59:33 UTC

France is not necessarily a socialist country

2018-10-16 10:59:41 UTC

well its not the same thing wol

2018-10-16 10:59:45 UTC

the rich arent paying

2018-10-16 10:59:47 UTC

no its not fully, its the closest though

2018-10-16 10:59:56 UTC

the working class, the entrepeneurs are paying

2018-10-16 11:00:04 UTC

It's more socialist than other countries

2018-10-16 11:00:04 UTC

everyone is paying

2018-10-16 11:00:09 UTC

Doesn't make it socialist tho

2018-10-16 11:00:17 UTC

indeed Swed

2018-10-16 11:00:17 UTC

but those above the mean, don't benefit from it, those below it do

2018-10-16 11:00:18 UTC

Scandinavia isn't socialist either

2018-10-16 11:00:23 UTC

France has very strong labour protections, but Macron is dismantling them <:jeb:376461916509306880>

2018-10-16 11:00:30 UTC

yea but by far the biggest payers are entrepeneurs and working class people

2018-10-16 11:00:37 UTC

in my country that is a fact

2018-10-16 11:00:45 UTC

there've been pretty much nonstop riots since he got elected

2018-10-16 11:00:53 UTC

And btw people here arent saying "the rich must pay up"

2018-10-16 11:00:55 UTC

Macron is doing surprisingly sensible things

2018-10-16 11:00:56 UTC

Our government gives money to media corporations

2018-10-16 11:00:59 UTC

I haven't done enough research into the tax system of semi-france so i can't argue 😛 i'll have to take your word for it

2018-10-16 11:01:07 UTC

theyre saying government needs to cut taxes because its becoming absurd

2018-10-16 11:01:18 UTC

theyre laying the problem with government not rich people

2018-10-16 11:01:20 UTC

too big

2018-10-16 11:01:24 UTC

too corrupt

2018-10-16 11:01:46 UTC

the pendulum always swings. its just whether it does so before things get crazy or not

2018-10-16 11:02:06 UTC

but no one is arguing that at its core EU is socialist,

cuz they're all capitalist in nature,

But with the social programs becoming so big, the governments taxing so high, you're effectively in a Monetary socialism

2018-10-16 11:02:15 UTC

I pay 49% of paycheck in taxes
