Centrists make things work, stuff goes well
People stop having real issues and start having small wedge issues, and you have opportunistic factions that push those issues to gain power

And it will slowly drive people into those smaller groups that will rip the center appart, and eventually those groups fail to deliver (looking at you Dems) and it will fracture and cause people to drive back to the other side (looking at you MAGA reps), and eventually that will fall and you get centrists again cuz people are tired of the polarity and just want middle ground again

The "Authoritarian/Libertarian" is based soley on how justified people feel in their actions

Most countries outside the US have leaders that are "Oh i know what is best for the country" and they'll feel justified in forcing control for the good of the people

Americans value freedom a lot more than others, so you're generally like "YOU (the people) know whats best for you, but we just gotta maintain what we have"

EU is authoritarian because its elites are arrogant enough to believe they know whats best, and how to fix this sinking ship
