Well, sorry if you bring up a point that you think is unlikely to come to pass, it's easy for me to mistake it as a scenario you anticipate.

In the police scenario, I think America would fair better than our EU brethren. The (right wing) American attitude towards authority abusing it's power would lead to conflict and possibly a revolt where EU cucks would roll over like they did in Germany.

If the left wing collapses into it's socialistic fever (which I think is definitely possible), a better centrist party would have to replace it and I think the balance of power between that party whether it's a rebranded democrats or a new one would point America towards more deregulation and decentralization of power.
