Well, at least right now it looks like some females are showing how evil they are and that they'd do anything for 5min of fame

2018-10-25 21:20:14 UTC

I started audio recording any time I'm alone with a woman because ya just never know.
It sounds extreme, but with the rise in cases, it is only logical from my vantage point.

2018-10-25 21:20:38 UTC

at work?

2018-10-25 21:20:49 UTC

Sounds smart if at work

2018-10-25 21:21:00 UTC

At work we have cameras everywhere (in a colab)

2018-10-25 21:21:08 UTC

Yeah, exactly, you have to do that. Even if it is illegal where you live. You have to record all encounters with women

2018-10-25 21:24:41 UTC

@willc i need to start doing that also i work at a law firm

2018-10-25 21:25:29 UTC

At a law firm it seems risky given the nature of the field of work

The only thing I talk about that would be considered confidential is whether someone wants their logo on the left or right of their web site heh

2018-10-25 21:27:21 UTC

on a side note; I feel bad for my best friend. moved to another province. met a chick with 3 kids. and within a few months she convinced him to get snipped. so now he's raising and paying for her offspring and will never have any of his own.

2018-10-25 21:28:15 UTC

@4AM_critter 🐉 the british common law countries are the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, S Africa, Canada, and the US
yet only canada and the US have birthright citizenship
so, no, birthright citizenship does not map to british common law

Pretty slow, good Slice of Life Work in a small town. Sadly only 8 Episodes and the end is rather sudden...

Understanding the exaggeration of Jews can be done in understanding Genesis where God lies about Adam and Eve dying by eating the fruit and punishing the snake that tells the truth.

2018-10-25 22:06:14 UTC

The idea is that the eventual out come of an event may be worth lying about if it prevents severe harm.

2018-10-25 22:09:36 UTC

I wonder when AI will tell its first lie; when it legit decides that the objective truth is the wrong answer to give.

From what I've read, published by Dr. Paul Ekman in "Telling Lies," lying is a recent invention.
Humans coming from small tribes it was impossible to lie given that everyone knew everyone.
It is only after large groups of people started living together that humans were even able to lie.

And so, when will the first computer conclude that lying is the optimal response.

2018-10-25 22:11:12 UTC

It will be when programmers dont put boundaries on the AI?

2018-10-25 22:11:14 UTC

Our problem today appears to be distinguishing truth from fiction.
People can spout a bunch of word salad and others will defend it as fact.

2018-10-25 22:14:45 UTC

I find it increasing difficult to have reasonable discussions with the rise in nonsense.
Yesterday I attempted civil dialog in regards to minimum wage increases affecting small businesses and all people could defend with were ad hominem attacks.
I ended the conversation with an npc meme and disabled notifications given that the bunch of them were circle jerking their friend's posts with likes.

Tim brings up a good point I pointed out earlier. There is people who are legitimate asylum seekers, but they are being drowned out by economic migrants.

2018-10-25 22:18:27 UTC

@Dusty Morgan do you think the military would resort to violence if the caravan becomes violent?

2018-10-25 22:18:37 UTC

yes, good point
