Thats why we have shit doctors entering the field

2018-12-03 03:15:08 UTC

@Misomania Yeah, they do.

2018-12-03 03:15:17 UTC

why not just keep it merit and fund some really good scholarships?

2018-12-03 03:15:37 UTC

that is pretty much my point

2018-12-03 03:15:50 UTC

then no AA is needed then?

2018-12-03 03:16:23 UTC

I mean its not needed, but youd have to incentivize the minorities to put forward their best.

2018-12-03 03:16:56 UTC

if the students who score well but can't afford to go can qualify and get their education paid for via scholarship, maybe even in the form of corporate funded scholarship that gauruntees a job leaving college at the corporation funding the scholarship?

2018-12-03 03:17:31 UTC

like a paid for internship, where your future employer is paying for you to go to school to learn that trade

2018-12-03 03:17:43 UTC

I mean i have a problem with college fundamentalky when interacting with the job force

2018-12-03 03:17:49 UTC

in germany its done through government funding of students. But public universities or colleges whatever the equivilant is i think american colleges are british universities and vice versa but whatever, if you want to make a masters or doctorate in germany on a public university, you dont pay for that. But they only accept - or accepted, im confident with social justice this has softened up - the best people on a number of places representative of the actual need in the fields. If you are poor, you even get an interest free government loan every month for your expenses.

2018-12-03 03:17:57 UTC

Like law school ?

2018-12-03 03:18:04 UTC

(expenses such as food and such)

2018-12-03 03:18:16 UTC

LOL GLORY HOLE

2018-12-03 03:18:44 UTC

we tried that and college professors laerned that they can exploit it to expand their wages a hundred times over by turning their campuses into daycares @Redneo

2018-12-03 03:19:26 UTC

no one fails, everyone can get a loan and all that matters is keeping the student there building up debt for as long as they can

2018-12-03 03:19:50 UTC

after that? fuck the student and his lifelong inescapable debt because the college got their money

2018-12-03 03:20:11 UTC

What would you rather have, a person with experience or a person with a degree?

2018-12-03 03:21:19 UTC

Feminism and theater op

2018-12-03 03:21:29 UTC

thats why you limit it to a number representative to the need of people in the field only accepting the best and i think at least the direct loan is not determined by the university. But i agree that there are certain risks.

2018-12-03 03:22:22 UTC

Well that depends, actualy. If im having someone drive around dangerous material, im going to have to have him certification for that due to liability issues

2018-12-03 03:22:53 UTC

not a degree as such but a similar principle as degrees are built on

2018-12-03 03:23:24 UTC

Certification i think in general is necessary, but i dont think a fresh out of college kid should get a higher job because he sat through textbooks and seminars

2018-12-03 03:23:34 UTC

I dislike that

2018-12-03 03:24:11 UTC

I agree, and in practice at least in coding and such it depends only on you being able to show that you can do the job

2018-12-03 03:24:16 UTC

I think forced imternships should applied to college

2018-12-03 03:24:22 UTC

Internships

2018-12-03 03:24:38 UTC

You do it for law school

2018-12-03 03:24:45 UTC

I think that is a case in at least many fields in germany

2018-12-03 03:25:34 UTC

Though you have mandatory internships back in school - i think equivilant of highschool age in america - as well

2018-12-03 03:25:54 UTC

Basically as a part of your degree you get partnered with a company in your field that'll take you on for a semester and depending on how you handle it you get a contract for an out of college job.

2018-12-03 03:26:14 UTC

It helps everyone

2018-12-03 03:27:13 UTC

and colleges really shouldnt be able to expell someone for their stupidtitle 9 violations without refunding. I dont care if he did or didnt actualy rape someone, if he did he should be away becouse hes in prison and thats that

2018-12-03 03:27:37 UTC

Lol i find that thing retarded too

2018-12-03 03:27:41 UTC

Waste of money

2018-12-03 03:28:11 UTC

Basically paid to get nothing out of my product because someone lied on me.

2018-12-03 03:29:23 UTC

Man 40k for law school, let me go ask a female classmate to compare notes at the downtown cafe, RAAAAAAAAAAAAAPE. Thrown out, rip 40k.

2018-12-03 03:29:46 UTC

By the way, at jury rape trialsin the US, id allways find him innocent if i was in the jury. I dont care if i see video of him hunting a woman, struggling her to the ground and taking her while she struggles. Becouse roleplay is a lot more common than actual rape and if she had a safeword, he wouldnt be able to use that in his defense. Thats part of HER sexual history, too, after all and not permissable aas evidence.

2018-12-03 03:30:08 UTC

if he does bring it up, hes held in contempt of court, a mistrial declared and a new jury sworn in

2018-12-03 03:30:15 UTC

a fair trial is made impossible

2018-12-03 03:30:43 UTC

I mean i dont think universities should have the ability to set their own courts up
