First bake done

2020-03-28 17:00:07 UTC

If I put a cast iron pan directly on the coals of a fire will they damage the pan?

2020-03-28 17:01:39 UTC

No, just make sure the coals arnt super hot, you want cooking temp but not enough to turn the pan red

2020-03-28 17:02:08 UTC

Ok

2020-03-28 17:03:29 UTC

I'm excited to go camping with @Boog Toomsen sunday. There are so many new things I want to try

2020-03-28 17:04:19 UTC

I bet! Make sure you take some oil with you if you intend on cooking eggs, they have a tendency of getting stuck even on a seasoned skillet

2020-03-28 19:49:21 UTC

Ok. I might try to make taco meat with the eggs to gove them some grease

2020-03-28 20:03:06 UTC

That works! Chorizo and eggs is great in cast iron also!

2020-03-28 20:03:54 UTC

Nice!

2020-03-28 20:23:54 UTC

Do yall have any favorite dishes to cook while out camping? I've been looking to expand my menu alittle

2020-03-28 21:09:18 UTC

2020-03-28 21:09:55 UTC

2020-03-28 21:11:55 UTC

2020-03-28 22:50:35 UTC

2020-03-28 22:51:20 UTC

Also making mac and cheese in an old green bean can with ditch water is pretty tasty

2020-03-28 22:51:33 UTC

I can attest

2020-03-28 22:51:45 UTC

Just make sure to add more ditch water as time goes on so it doesn't burn
