I've contemplated security work.

How do you get into it tho

Literally got my licence through a local school, the 8 hour pre licence course and the 16 hour "on the job" course. Then I just applied to a few places. Worked suit and tie per diem for one place, until I got a stable schedule from another. Got a few great contracts, and conpanies keep hiring me. So I concurrently work for 4 companies right now, and looking for a stable armed gig.

Like I make almost 25 an hour to walk in circles at one place. It's all about finding the right company, with the right contract

I know someone that worked for securitas

They got pretty high up the chain too until the company had to let a LOT of people go.

Nature of the beast. Its fluid, but people always need security. The market will always be there

Its not bad dude, especially if you're doing school with it. Usually you work nights, so no interference. And if you get a guard booth or somewhere else thats quiet, you can do all your work. Lile I wrote almost all my papers on the job

Some dude smacks into the rear of a squad car near me, dude admits to snorting meth. He's arrested and immediately released without bail thanks to the new laws. For me, it aint the drug use or injuring a cop. It's the fact that he did cause a tangible harm to society in general, and has a high likelyhood of recidivism and/or missing his court date. Same thing happened here with a DWI case where someone caused a fatal accident, was released, and immediately did the same thing

Too bad about bail though. Go to a bail bond agency. Or just dont be a fuck up flight risk. The bond money gets returned to you if you go to all your court visits. And if you are convisted, however long you spent before sentencing carries over as time served
