I'm in a second story apartment with only one door going in/out. I think it's a mixed bag but fortunately no access can be gained from my windows. If I'm asleep they'll probably be in and kill me before I can react. If I'm awake I at least have a defensive position but no barrier that will stop incoming rounds.

It's a small apartment and they would undoubtably find the floor plans for the complex before entering.

Steel barrier furniture which can be used as barricades. Thinking AR500 plates. Heavy but useful.

A /k/offin, bedside steel plating to prevent being murdered from the road in my sleep.

Coffee table that could be arranged into a standing barrier comparable to what competition shooters use.

Weight would be the major downside but I like life so I can deal with heaviness.

I'm glad I'm not the only loon out there that plans for shit like that

I don't even need to be a design genius. It's fucking simple and I can probably outsource the labor.

A solution I would love is some sort of setup that wouldn't have to modify a structure to reinforce it from police breaching. There's plenty of things you can screw in - but again a lot of people are in apartments.
