Philip will make mistakes. Hell even Timcast has made mistakes.

2019-01-22 00:33:58 UTC

he made a mistake, a big one, but to be fair both the left and the right were going all out on the kids.. he probably thought it was safe. so yeah, he fucked up, but it wasnt malicious or anything.

2019-01-22 00:34:11 UTC

it was human error

2019-01-22 00:34:12 UTC

We can't treat them any different than how you treat another individual. Give them the benefit of doubt and make sure they learn from their mistake.

2019-01-22 00:34:23 UTC

thats the problem, it wasn't malice

but the road to hell is paved by good intentions

2019-01-22 00:34:52 UTC

That is the way I see things. How can we advance as a society, if we don't have the compacity to forgive?

2019-01-22 00:34:53 UTC

Tim talks about it all the time though.. the amount of people that see the original statement vs the correction.. its dangerous now to just emotionally react to anything you know nothing about

2019-01-22 00:35:08 UTC

forgiveness is done by redemption, not by apologies

2019-01-22 00:35:32 UTC

>I killed someone, oops i'm sorry
"hmm okay well you seem remorseful, you go free"

2019-01-22 00:35:42 UTC

Philip defrance put out a video, correcting the narrative and situation. He apologized and now standing beside the kids on this. He feels incredibly stupid about it.

2019-01-22 00:35:47 UTC

i dont see a way out

2019-01-22 00:35:58 UTC

armed insurgency will start to sprout imo

2019-01-22 00:36:05 UTC

He is actively trying to correct the situation... not just apologize and let it go.

2019-01-22 00:36:10 UTC

I can see that and i do accept the apology

that doesn't block me from saying it was stupid and he should've known better

2019-01-22 00:36:18 UTC

His viewers now know the full story.

2019-01-22 00:36:24 UTC

those that watched both

2019-01-22 00:36:27 UTC

Yeah, he should have known better.

2019-01-22 00:36:45 UTC

But I accept his apologize, because it came with a video explaining the situation better and correcting his misconsumptions.

2019-01-22 00:36:57 UTC

i accept it too

2019-01-22 00:37:08 UTC

saying that no one is allowed to make mistakes is pretty extreme. he didnt kill someone, he believed information that was wrong but that information was being spouted by MULTIPLE sources, like hundreds of sources

2019-01-22 00:37:16 UTC

its uncommon for so many people to be so wrong

2019-01-22 00:37:28 UTC

He provide the real story, not just a apology video. How many apologizes these day from the media do you see come with a correction like this. The whole video was dedicated to correcting what he misrepresented.

2019-01-22 00:37:43 UTC

Very rarely do we see something like this.

2019-01-22 00:37:44 UTC

EVER

2019-01-22 00:38:01 UTC

thats why its important to not be all ":D omg we still love you we forgive its okay"

He dun goofed, he needs to be aware of the seriousness of the mistake

2019-01-22 00:38:12 UTC

Well he is aware of his mistake Dr. Wol.

2019-01-22 00:38:15 UTC

yes

2019-01-22 00:38:26 UTC

but to say "oh well, no harm done" is extremely dangerous

2019-01-22 00:38:38 UTC

cuz THIS TIME it was no harm done

2019-01-22 00:38:39 UTC

no one is saying no harm done

2019-01-22 00:38:42 UTC

I didn't see him say that.

2019-01-22 00:38:45 UTC

you're having a tantrum

2019-01-22 00:38:50 UTC

Or hear him say that.

2019-01-22 00:38:58 UTC

no i'm saying you two are saying that

2019-01-22 00:39:04 UTC

No... I never said that.

2019-01-22 00:39:05 UTC

i didnt say that at all

2019-01-22 00:39:11 UTC

I just wrote an entire experiment in one hour

2019-01-22 00:39:12 UTC

i literally said multiple times he fucked up hard

2019-01-22 00:39:27 UTC

there is no need to be intellectually dishonest

2019-01-22 00:39:28 UTC

Knees weak

2019-01-22 00:39:39 UTC

I said he fucked up hard, but I accept his apologize because it comes from a place of real regret. He actually went above and beyond to correct the situation.
