@Maddie actually, if a texas police officer is to be believed. There is such a massive change in focus toward how they treat female and male offenders that it distorts those numbers to an insane degree. Overall the crime rate is the same but even when guilty of equal culpibility they treat female offenders lightly (or as victims) compared to the men they often put the harshest sentance and time on
