i get cranky if i don't sleep though and snap at the wife for no reason but our fights have become her saying something that's obviously not correct and me yesdearing her

2018-11-23 05:48:34 UTC

Thats because drinking can be a repeatable action and you might not have got into a fight before, you can say you did drugs for the first time and work on a deal to attend rehabilitation

2018-11-23 05:48:51 UTC

not sure if that's fighting enough to the jailers to mind

2018-11-23 05:49:04 UTC

@TwinVickers weak, when I don't sleep I hallucinate that there are shadow people outside my window at 5AM

2018-11-23 05:49:19 UTC

yeah i get that after 72 hrs

2018-11-23 05:49:43 UTC

One time I saw a deer that had a neck like a giraffe when I was sleep deprived

2018-11-23 05:49:46 UTC

or three nights not slept

2018-11-23 05:49:48 UTC

fucking weird

2018-11-23 05:50:29 UTC

once after a huge bender i tried to sleep but couldn't because a creature kept jumping on the bed

2018-11-23 05:50:36 UTC

oof

2018-11-23 05:50:52 UTC

I just did a 36 hour day and that was awful

2018-11-23 05:50:55 UTC

Once I stayed up for 9 days with a machete in the corner of my room because I thought slender man was going to kill me

2018-11-23 05:50:58 UTC

I can't imagine 72 hours

2018-11-23 05:51:11 UTC

I thought I was at the bottom of a hotel swimming pool

2018-11-23 05:51:18 UTC

by day 6 or 7

2018-11-23 05:51:21 UTC

after about 40 hours they all take about the same effort to stay awake

2018-11-23 05:51:47 UTC

idk who else gets this, but i always find the night hours easier to stay awake during than the day ones

2018-11-23 05:51:52 UTC

not sleeping messes with my immunity response too much these days

2018-11-23 05:52:03 UTC

Saaaane @zalfir

2018-11-23 05:52:19 UTC

During the night I don't want to sleep

2018-11-23 05:52:23 UTC

During the day I wish I was asleep

2018-11-23 05:52:24 UTC

messes with your digestive cycle and appetite, puts extra wear on your heart

2018-11-23 05:52:35 UTC

causes memory loss due to lack of REM

2018-11-23 05:52:50 UTC

If you look at a brain that is sleep deprived you see low levels of brain damage

2018-11-23 05:53:01 UTC

Less synaptic shearing, buildups of brain plaque

2018-11-23 05:53:13 UTC

interferes with the ability to learn unless it's using pathways you already have (ie. learning a new programming language when you can already program is ok)

2018-11-23 05:53:19 UTC

i'm on so many meds i get that regardless. i forget what words mean

2018-11-23 05:53:27 UTC

basically it fucks your brain up in a very serious way that looks somewhat like a very mild case of dementia or alzheimers'

2018-11-23 05:53:37 UTC

or know the meaning but not the word

2018-11-23 05:54:08 UTC

everyone gets that to some extent

2018-11-23 05:54:10 UTC

apparently alz can only be really diagnosed post mortem

2018-11-23 05:54:14 UTC

particularly over 30

2018-11-23 05:54:21 UTC

i'm 38

2018-11-23 05:54:31 UTC

we're near the same age

2018-11-23 05:54:44 UTC

i used to abuse benadryl so I'm probably gonna get dementia by age 40

2018-11-23 05:55:09 UTC

i did a lot of dxm as a kid

2018-11-23 05:55:28 UTC

dxm is also pretty bad for you if you use it frequently

2018-11-23 05:55:50 UTC

4th plateau and beyond too many times

2018-11-23 05:56:03 UTC

i experimented with LSD quite a bit, as well as reprogramming myself socially so i could make eye contact and say what i meant

2018-11-23 05:56:35 UTC

Ah, I did none of that because I am not a socially awkward degenerate

2018-11-23 05:57:09 UTC

yeah, your syntax clearly says that about you
