when i say hyphenations i mean shit like

Asian-American

that's what they want to call me

but I'd rather say

that I'm an American

who is Asian

exactly

and it's very subtle

by saying that you're a hyphenated american

you are in a way separating yourself from your fellow americans

and it has worked to great effect

ina 'other class' . 'like the rest'

we really need

to change it

so that in people's heads
