They seem to of become friends too
interfaith dialogue is a wonderful thing, learning of what others deem as truth is very insightful
We are all humans, after all.
It helps sometimes to talk face to face
so why are you here?
For example, I am sure you and I disagree on numerous things, but we can still engage in a productive dialogue.
As for why, even I don't know the answer to that.
I am an Engineer, and in a sense I felt it would be useful to try and reach the people my profession so frequently detests and that so commonly detests my profession.
I understand
I don't think anyone here disregards your profession
science is a wonderful thing
Generally when speaking to people who hold such beliefs, either way, people tend to realize that each other isn't really the enemy.
I am a bit more skiddish on Anti-Vaxxers, but they, too, deserve Mercy of some form or another.
I wouldn't be talking with you right now if certain individuals didn't come to amazing breakthroughs
Indeed.
And here's to a great many more.
I don't think anyone here doubts science or what it can achieve
Indeed, some I would hope to be at the forefront of. But time will tell.
Well, some almost certainly do. But it is a mixed bag of a ton of different people.
Different perspectives
Different outlooks
for me I don't need proofs like others, The quran is enough proof for me
others need motivation and proofs
So you are motivated in terms of what could be called spirituality?
yes
for example
55:33 - O assembly of jinn and mankind! If you are able to pass beyond the barriers set beyond the heavens and the earth, then try to pass them. But you will not pass except by my authority.
@Thinky here in this verse my creator issues a challange
that none can pass the barriers beyond the skies or the earth because they are barriers
its interesting to me because that's exactly what that flat earth society claims aswell
and the operation high jump is a wonderful example
and operation fishbowl
so what am trying to say is that either what they say is correct and they have passed and reached the moon and passed the barriers and that negates the quran, or the quran is correct and they are wrong, only one can be right, and I choose the quran
the same applies to evolution aswell
Who is to say the barrier is not the sky but the expanse beyond?
That the barrier is itself an infinity
Of no better wall, could there be
It is entirely probable, from my own belief, that both can be right.
An infinity of vastness being a barrier no human can pass without the aid of someone omnipotent in scope.
Would it not make sense for God to make that kind of barrier? One that becomes abstract and conceptual to the human psyche?
because in other chapters and verse it states clearly what this barrier is
In chapter 84 which is called inshiqaq
which means the cracking
