also humid air is actually les dense than dry air

2020-02-15 20:59:41 UTC

fog increases dencity because your actually getting droplets of water
its not a change of humidity

2020-02-15 21:00:51 UTC

smoke is less dense than air because its hotter
but its also less transparent

2020-02-15 21:01:17 UTC

people are fairly inactive in the chats in this server huh

2020-02-15 21:01:37 UTC

higher dencity dosnt imply less transparent

2020-02-15 21:01:55 UTC

Depends on the time of day

2020-02-15 21:02:43 UTC

its disproven by the fact that there exists higher dencity gasses that are more transparent than less dense gasses

2020-02-15 21:03:33 UTC

your point stands but smoke is actually a little denser than air at room temperature

2020-02-15 21:03:45 UTC

it floats cuz when it gets created it's very hot

2020-02-15 21:03:57 UTC

and since its a gas its density goes down

2020-02-15 21:07:15 UTC

Smoke isn't really a gas. It's an amalgam of solids, gases and liquids.

2020-02-15 21:07:27 UTC

yea true

2020-02-15 21:07:47 UTC

its opacity is largely cuz it has a lot of solid particles in it

2020-02-15 21:08:10 UTC

this is pretty far off topic tho

2020-02-15 21:08:30 UTC

haha true

2020-02-15 21:23:34 UTC

Hi

2020-02-15 21:23:45 UTC

helo

2020-02-15 21:23:49 UTC

@Σ5 im back, higher air density does imply higher humidity which will cause things to be less transparent also stop going to other gasses that doesn't function the same as air. fog has a higher air density and higher humidity, there's a relationship between those when air density increase temperature also increases which inturn makes things less visible so yes you can say that a higher air density causes things to be less visible

Paypal => Elon Musk + Peter Thiel

2020-02-15 21:24:55 UTC

Peter Thiel => then founds Palantyr (spying company for CIA/NSA)

2020-02-15 21:25:05 UTC

Peter Thiel was also the first external investor into Facebook

Dude, stop posting non-fe stuff in here, please.

ok

2020-02-15 22:04:54 UTC

Thanks.

2020-02-15 22:14:51 UTC

Higher humidity dosnt mean less transparent

2020-02-15 22:15:55 UTC

@He Cute high humidity air is less dense than try air at the same temperature
unless it becomes a fog
then it is more dense

2020-02-15 22:16:45 UTC

but fog isn't a gas but a coloid

2020-02-15 22:16:58 UTC

a suspension of water droplets

2020-02-15 22:18:18 UTC

Apply the ideal gas law to nitrogen and water

2020-02-15 22:18:55 UTC

Does air actually limit how far you see

2020-02-15 22:19:00 UTC

humid air is less dense than dry air

2020-02-15 22:19:53 UTC

hey even scale the molar dencity by the nitrogen percent and it still ends up being less dense

2020-02-15 22:20:13 UTC

If not and earths flat I should surely (without any buildings or etc blocking my sight ) be able to see Russia
