in north sweden, the sun never sets and stays in the east for roughly 2 months every year. the reason is that its above the arctic circle and since earth tilts 90 degrees the light from the sun can still reach places above the arctic circle when the sun and the earth are positioned perfectly. if the earth was round(but still flat) it would be in the north as you guys explain the night and day cycle
