I find it odd that a small RISC CPU needs to do hardware init using closed source firmware that I can't delete or replace. I find it even stranger that these things have access to everything in memory (vRAM and nvRAM) and they can even rewrite ROM like the BIOS.
They can also act as keyloggers and be controlled remotely.
