Yep I agree 100%, gender dysphoria is a mental issue and transgenders shouldn't be given an exception over other citizens with mental issues.

Infact transgenders should not be in any political positions in the US or Police or emergency service.

I think at least that people with gender dysphoria should be evaluated to see if their disorder has any effect pertaining to their ability in combat or elsewhere in the military

The way our military vetting works is that *any* disorder is grounds for rejection

we never consider whether it might affect mission effectiveness or not

It is also a "don't ask don't tell" policy in practice when it comes to mental and physical conditions, because they rely on applicants to disclose any illnesses they have. Our military is full of crazies and gimps who are smart enough to keep their defects out of sight.

@Shadowstitcher11 You're defending the rights of a human while it's in the womb, but when it's out of the womb you wouldn't want to have your taxes spent to support him or her through social programs. Pick one, do you want a small government that doesn't distribute wealth and doesn't impose on social issues (in this case, abortion), or do you want a big government that is pro-life through making abortions illegal and pro-life by giving food stamps to the hungry and impoverished? Personally, I'm Pro-Life and I don't think abortions are moral in most cases - but I sure as hell don't want the government enforcing anti-abortion laws especially if the fetus is under 12ish weeks.
