@Shadowstitcher11 You're defending the rights of a human while it's in the womb, but when it's out of the womb you wouldn't want to have your taxes spent to support him or her through social programs. Pick one, do you want a small government that doesn't distribute wealth and doesn't impose on social issues (in this case, abortion), or do you want a big government that is pro-life through making abortions illegal and pro-life by giving food stamps to the hungry and impoverished? Personally, I'm Pro-Life and I don't think abortions are moral in most cases - but I sure as hell don't want the government enforcing anti-abortion laws especially if the fetus is under 12ish weeks.
I'm against abortion, but making it illegal is a bad idea. If you make it illegal then women would still do it they would just find less sanitary and safe ways of doing it. Its better for it to just be legal so we can provide the best option for it.

What it comes down to for me is that the just charge for killing a pregnant woman is double homicide. Unless you want to revisit the argument of whether one person can own another, that makes an unborn child more than just a part of a woman's body.

Well, that is a very bad confusion of the issue you've made there. The question is whether killing an unborn child ought to be murder or just assault (if it be considered just a part of its mother's body).
My answer is going to be the same as I said in Liberty Fever.
Abortion is murder and should not be considered a right. A right does not violate a law, and is completely legal. Abortion is the murder of an unborn infant, thus causing the child to be unable to live a single day outside in the real world. Get to know about life, and have fun.
Killing infants like that, should be illegal, and a double standard. Dems want to protect children, yet kill them off before they're born. It doesn't work like this. If anything, they're making more room for Republicans to enter this world.
