@Gonzo Bet those yes voters are shitting themselves now ey...

2018-07-29 13:23:51 UTC

What will it take for the province to become its own country so to say?

2018-07-29 13:25:31 UTC

The DA is playing the same game, and in a democracy they are subject to the demand of the people, the majority of the people that is. And if they don't give in the to demands of the people, there will be that whole told you so attitude floating around. So 1 term maybe, 5 years is probably going to be the most time you can buy. The majority are demanding for things NOW, so if the DA can't deliver what the ANC promise NOW, they won't have a second term, in fact i wouldn't be surprised if there is an attempt to get them out sooner. I just don't see it realistically happening. I get where you coming from, i get that the theory has some sense to it, but if there is one thing I've observed, it is that the ruling majority do not think or behave like us, they have a very different culture and value system, a different perception of reality, and it is them who hold the majority vote.

2018-07-29 13:29:11 UTC

There might be a slight possibility that the ANC will prevent this project from happening

2018-07-29 13:29:11 UTC

Ditsem! @GhostRanger, you just advanced to level 1!

2018-07-29 13:35:43 UTC

I see. I agree with you, the concept makes sense why it would work.

2018-07-29 13:36:50 UTC

Anyhoo peeps. It seems that the goals of the boervolk and those of the rest differ in the long term. All I can say is that there have been guards on the wall for many generations. Nobody listened in 1910. Nobody listened in 1992. You're not listening now. I wish you all the best of luck and may you and your families be protected. YHWH bless and keep you. Auf wiedersehen

You know, if the DA was not playing identity politics and throwing around false accusations like white privilege, and opened up to BEE coming to an end, your idea would be worth embracing. Those factors created and maintain inequity, and the gap in the inequity only grows larger, and trust diminishes. I can't support those values and believe that somehow, this will work out in our favor, the minority. Good luck though, can hope you are right about it and maybe you convince others, but i maintain my values and loyalty to bringing back and maintaining equity faithfully, the only true way. Cheers.

2018-07-29 13:50:35 UTC

Theoretically this is the best bet at the moment.

2018-07-29 13:51:39 UTC

I dont think the society we live in will put the past behind anytime soon. Untill we start working together and see the benefits it will have

2018-07-29 13:55:28 UTC

@Gonzo i honestly don't see the point trusting the wolf in sheeps clothing. The devil is deceptive, and giving any credibility to the devil, to trust the devil is a death sentence. There are so many ways this can go wrong, if you are wrong. I put my faith in God instead and the rule of law. You won't get the rule of law through a democracy, the whole point of a democracy is to avoid the rule of law that is above us lowly men. I don't trust the DA, even if the leader claims to be Christian, i don't see a Christian supporting inequity in any shape or form, inequity that corrupts the heart clearly is described by Lucifers fall. I'm all for trekking, getting together with other believers that do away with the rule of men, faithfully. Only way to do that is to stop playing this game. Go there, and stand our ground, and demand our right to live under the rule of God, not man. Then I'm game for it, it's honest, it's straight forward, and anyone that opposes us will Clearly reveal their loyalties, and good and evil can be clearly distinguished, because only the evil will be the ones that deny us the right. I don't want to mess with the complexities and mental gymnastics of the liberal bullshitters. So I'm sorry, i have my values and my loyalties, which i will not sell short out of desperation. I would rather prepare and defend myself here at home staying loyal.

This seems so nonews, just the same words again from a leader of one party of a representative government. Ramaphosa is a interventionist politician that needs votes. His ethical vision seems to be: preserve the ANC at all costs.

"However, it can be viewed as a decidedly political move to neutralise the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) whose members have been dominating parliamentary hearings on whether the Constitution should be amended."
https://www.businesslive.co.za/bd/national/2018-07-31-breaking-news-anc-to-change-constitution-to-expropriate-land/

“Accordingly, the ANC will, through the parliamentary process, finalise a proposed amendment to the Constitution that outlines more clearly the conditions under which expropriation of land without compensation can be affected.”

Above it says "the ANC will", my question is is that sure? According to Ronaldo there is so much issues to still work through. The DA will fight this he said. What do you think?

2018-08-01 07:02:37 UTC

What do you think @HoppeanSnake_ZA ?

2018-08-01 07:17:47 UTC

@Daniel van Straaten We were discussing this last night @Guss and I disagreed as to its meaning in the greater scheme of things. Yes, the DA can try to fight it but section 25 of the constitution is under serious threat and there is no getting past that. Without property rights the economy is screwed. Will the DA fight it? Sure, they can try but the ANC has infiltrated every major institution in this country with fellow cadres who subscribe to this Transformation ideology. Parliament, is overwhelmingly in favor of it, the executive is clearly in favor of it and by association so is the ConCourt. The 4D chess argument that this is being done to appease the masses and that they wont actually amend the constitution is very narrow minded and illogical. Optimism is cowardice. The best we can hope for is that foreign capital will flee this country and that sanctions will be implemented ASAP.

I think it's too late for them, we're getting the word out, market closed 13.19 currently 13.30, if it breaks through 13.88 today it means that the whole world is watching, if it doesn't that means that they will keep on making these kinds of announcements at 23h00 and make the money on the insider trades, squirrel is probably happy to keep doing that until the rate approaches 14 then he thinks he can consolidate power and magically fix things(he has no idea how far out of his depth he is)

2018-08-01 07:28:21 UTC

He has is building a dynasty, He's worth R6.5Bn but his brother in law is worth R450Bn

2018-08-01 08:43:28 UTC

Regarding the Rand, can it really go drastically low considering the central back is not nationalised yet?

2018-08-01 09:37:38 UTC

I've been surprised at its resilience

2018-08-01 10:42:36 UTC

Every time I see EFF and parliamentary together, my brain reads it at 'paramilitary'.

2018-08-01 10:42:36 UTC

Ditsem! @Bird_Goes_Beep, you just advanced to level 2!

2018-08-01 10:45:56 UTC

2018-08-01 20:32:44 UTC

@Daniel van Straaten so what does this exactly mean?

2018-08-01 20:33:36 UTC

Just another day in africa, we're praising the electricity company for keeping the lights on (sort of)

2018-08-01 20:37:21 UTC

So when they take the land, what the hell do you guys do? Fight back and preserve their land?
