the question of how can the earth be flat if the water it was created on is spherical in nature and still holds that same spherical shape to this day?

Water takes the shape of the INSIDE of a container - not the OUTSIDE. When you pour a cup of tea, do you pour the water on the inside or outside of the cup?

Yeah I'm pretty sure the waters were divided from the waters and there is water above the firmament. Can't really prove that yet but its interesting.
That is very interesting actually. It illustrates it as a globe with "earth" as a flat circle inside it.
"The face of the waters" - sphere doesn't have a face it's the same from all sides. But like the face of a clock is flat. Water is provably and logically flat dude. And seventy percent of the earths surface is covered in water.
