Im gonna have to side with Gonzo on the WC. We have enough space, Cape Town Harbour + Saldanha Bay Harbour. More than enough fertile land to farm. The water crisis was because of the pathetic DA and ANC piss contes. The water crisis can be solved in 3 months with the desalination technology available from a Cape Town based company. The DA just keeps rejecting it. That alone will create jobs. Then we can still add thousands if wind farms in the WC which will help with electricity and again generate more jobs. I admire Orania but they are a bit vulnerable in the middle there.

The WC has SOOO much more potential but we are crippled by the Dyslexic Alliance. Endless possibilities the wine industry can be even bigger if they just get the opportunity. Tourism on the West Coast ... Endless possibilities. BUT simebody needs to take charge of the WC though.

Anyway I want Orania to thrive and grow 20 times more as well. It is a sort of safe haven for my people and therefore I will support them when- and wherever I can.
@HoppeanSnake_ZA we have to look at options that makes sense right now. Its not a perfect option that I mentioned its merely a start for us as Afrikaners.
@Penkop the farming industry is a couple billion in the WC,we can increase that with more farmers here and international trading.Russian is cut off through sanctions so we can export all our fruits and produce to them.

"One of the stupidest things the National Party ever did was, in the 1950s and 1960s, to hound a fairly moderate ANC into the arms of the Soviet Union and the East Germans. @Gonzo @HoppeanSnake_ZA Didn't Willem say that Orania is looking into acquiring a port town or some type of ocean-going ability? What if the Orania movement forms other groups or helps other groups to set up their own Orania-type settlements. Why must things be restricted to an "Orania or bust" mindset? Although I do agree with the gentleman who said that Orania certainly has a 20 year headstart! If the Orania movement could start similar settlements in other parts of SA, particularly in the WC, as someones suggests, I think that would be a start. I'm sure the Orania leadership has thought/heard about any number of suggested plans for a future Afrikaner Volkstaat, but I think they have to be careful about how public they are about their plans/aspirations. Does anyone know any info about Kleinfontein? Aren't they similar to Orania?
