So, do any of you realize this is the "What if an emergency should occur" reason for the survival section USN and I created? If we took a look at the dating of the fossil record done by paleontologists we see five mass extinction events that ended all life on Earth. Most star systems in the known universe have binary star systems but Earth just has one, the sun. Scientist believe that because these mass extinction events happen around the same time every 26 millions years or so that our sun might have an evil twin sun that they've been dubbed as`Nemesis`. It would make perfect since if another star came close to the Earth ending all life in this way just look at the moon could another star accompanied with comets be the reason the moon has so many craters?
