Fair play to her if she's genuinely wanting to learn and develop a better understanding of the world. But this way that people like that put across their "moderation" as virtue, as if: well, both sides have a point so the truth must be somewhere in the middle, is garbage. There is truth and there is lies. We may often fall short of the full truth, or full understanding, but that should always be our goal. And it's not virtuous to always try to "bridge the gap" or find the "centre ground". That's just wishy washy tosh that is just as dangerous, if not more so, than the lies because it's compromise.
