@MrE911 watch the interview,clive explains it all. He was in the conservative party and they wanted to kill hani to get martial law enacted and get the voters to sway to the conservative party and schedule the elections earlier,they already had a large portion of the vote and defeated the NP in potch in 92 just before the referendum. We were on the brink of a civil war in 93' after that assasination,mandela had to come on the news and "talk" to the black people to not do anything. If chaos and civil war erupted all talks with the anc would have ended and elections would have saw the conservative party winning. The conservative party wanted to protect the white minorities,they knew the NP didn't give two shits. It's a interesting interview,he explains how the NP had talks with the anc back in the late 80's which no one knew about. Everyone should watch it.
Its after that interview that I for first time realized how hard FW and co shafted us.
