I'm in the states, and I have heard that there are perhaps some valid criticisms of AfriForum (no organization is perfect or above critique), but they really seem to be a consistent beacon of light that is able to create unity and provide vital information (i.e. the infamous "farm list") and advice for Afrikaners.

@Cal could be targeted sanctions against politicians and companies have ties with and such. That is mostly how American sanctions on Russia work.
Example: Sanctions on Julius Malema that ban him from travel to USA, assets frozen with US institutions, all that sort of stuff.

American sanctions on Russia have done a lot of damage for a few reasons: they shut people out of companies, they shut companies out of doing business with US/US financial institutions, and they stopped the flow of investment
Well just tearing up AGOA would make Cyril sit up and take notice. I fear though, that Cyril has the Chinese lined up to make up for any lost funds through US sanctions.
