Part of it is that their parents and teachers tell them they can be whatever they want when they grow up and have success

There's this idea that college degree = automatic 6 figure salary

So they study what they like/ whats easy

even worse, the idea that everyone can get a job you don't have to do work to keep, and all make that money without saturating the field and collapsing the economy

thats the reason i am getting a degree in something harder that i know i can make money in. I want to use that money to fund my other dreams that otherwise would make very little if any money

I was gonna get a degree in software engineering or something close to it, probably double major with physics or something

atleast with coding you can make something worth millions working from just your computer chair

if I transfer I'll try and get a minor in physics, flunked out of physics before due to depression
