I see absolutely zero reason why we have to accept our displacement. I see this as a further neoliberal ethos similar to free trade theory, which over emphasizes creative destruction. Yes, society needs some level of creative destruction to keep from stagnating, but too much seems to weaken the cultural and economic ecosystem.
