I've been emailing discord devs back and fourth this week. I asked them to make two changes. One make it so you can role out the "everyone/here" pings or make it so you can mute a channel except for certain people or roles. The other thing I told them was to let people mark direct messages as "unread". If you have any other suggestions let me know.
