I’m milquetoast because I disagree with eugenics. Neat.

Proper eugenics is a very nice idea but very rarely is it executed correctly and humanely

Eugenics is applied with great effect everywhere but human populations.

With the advent of in-vivo genetic modification it renders the traditional eugenic process obsolete, as a given undesirable trait can simply be edited out of a living subject.

Applied to pre-natal care, a fetus could theoretically be edited to remove genetic markers for a number of crippling chronic diseases

Unfortunately, since genes are very much malleable and mutation-prone (for both good and bad), you'd still have to purge abnormally developing fetuses.
