It comes down to if you want help with something or not. If the patient doesnt want help: theres no helping them anyway so its a wasted effort from the start.

Jesus, I never knew how sensitive my mother was on the subject of weight until now. So we're at the dinner table eating our dinner, and I ask if I could get a weight. Big. Mistake. She's then acting bitchier and now dinner is over. Then my grandma and mother get into an argument about this saying I don't need to know my weight because I'll be let down or some stupid shit. Anyways they're still bickering and apparently to her, 97 pounds in 6th grade is fat.

I was most likely over 160 in 6th grade.

So she's probably trying to project her own problems on me because "WE'RE SO ALIKE HURR"

And it gets to a screaming match.

I forgot what was said but she was still being an ass.

So she went outside.
