if you think porn is okay, its likeyh because you grew up watching too much of it thinking it's okay, and a lack of sex

2019-03-02 17:03:41 UTC

The general treatment for sexual anhedonia is a slow acclimation toward less sensation while still achieving orgasm.

2019-03-02 17:03:55 UTC

Some nofaps maybe are onto something when they talk about all that shit of "redirecting energy into something productive"

2019-03-02 17:04:04 UTC

Ideally, to be able to achieve low stimulation orgasm without porn.

2019-03-02 17:04:11 UTC

@Darkness Didn't even realize porn was a thing until I was 20.

2019-03-02 17:04:22 UTC

That usually helps sexual functioning for people with sexual anhedonia or delayed orgasm.

2019-03-02 17:04:40 UTC

@Cato_Malgus I tried the NoFap and was productive for like 2 months but my sex drive became insatiable. It started interfering with classes.

2019-03-02 17:04:46 UTC

Delayed orgasm is a considerable problem for some - far moreso than "premature" ejaculation in many cases.

2019-03-02 17:05:00 UTC

Both of you are right. @Cato_Malgus @secrite

2019-03-02 17:05:10 UTC

The key is moderation. Just like everything in life.

2019-03-02 17:05:34 UTC

"nofap" is not healthy. Ask any doctor, a lack of ejaculation considerably increases risk of prostate problems. Not just cancer.

2019-03-02 17:05:35 UTC

@hel Yeah I think so too

2019-03-02 17:05:47 UTC

Or, rather, I'd say _not ejaculating_ isn't healthy.

2019-03-02 17:05:55 UTC

@Wojak Well, you get nocturnal emissions.

2019-03-02 17:06:03 UTC

Those are not sufficiently frequent.

2019-03-02 17:06:04 UTC

lol Porn means you're "failing yourself"?

2019-03-02 17:06:05 UTC

However people can ejac too much

2019-03-02 17:06:06 UTC

@Wojak I look at it like this, my buddies used to all tell me how great golf was. They all went out on the weekends and played it a bunch. They spent insane amounts of cash on clubs and fees etc... I tried it with them and it was kind of fun. However nowhere near worth what they were spending on it. So I stopped doing it. Sex is much the same to me. I tried it bunch and found it not worth the effort. Why invest a bunch more time and effort into enjoying something that can only cause problems for me. Much easier to just stop chasing pussy.

2019-03-02 17:06:12 UTC

There are also studies stating that not fapping doesnt cause prostrate cancer though

2019-03-02 17:06:22 UTC

If you're in a relationship with access to regular sex, not masturbating can help if you experience delayed ejaculation.

2019-03-02 17:06:22 UTC

@MufflePuff Darkness doesn't like titties on camera.

2019-03-02 17:06:34 UTC

You think it's easy for the body to create life

2019-03-02 17:06:34 UTC

@Darkness What is the optimal amount of ejaculating per day/week?

2019-03-02 17:06:44 UTC

Depends on age

2019-03-02 17:06:45 UTC

But peeps, they said you can become like Gandalf and shit if you don't fap for full year

2019-03-02 17:06:46 UTC

"optimal" depends on the person.

2019-03-02 17:06:48 UTC

Read Tao

2019-03-02 17:06:48 UTC

@secrite Dave Asprey covers there.

2019-03-02 17:06:55 UTC

It's like, 1 a week or something.

2019-03-02 17:06:58 UTC

@Darkness 21-28

2019-03-02 17:07:01 UTC

But you should have sex all the time.

2019-03-02 17:07:12 UTC

"Evidence that NoFap has ZERO impact on prostate cancer.
--just some stats I googled, feel free to check my numbers, don't take them too seriously though, just trying to get my point across--

Think about it statistically, NoFap has zero affect on prostate cancer.

14% of men will get prostate cancer sometime in their lifetime. Ejaculation reduces the chances of prostate cancer by 36%.

(.14)(.36) = 5%

Meaning the chances you will develop prostate cancer is increased by 5%

But consider 60% of prostate cancer cases are in men aged 65 or older.

And also, out of all cancers prostate cancer has an extremely low mortality rate of 0.8%. Compare with lung cancer at 83.4% and pancreatic cancer at 93%. Even breast cancer has a higher mortality rate (10.8%).

(.05)(.008) = .0004 [risk of dying to prostate cancer because of NoFap increased by 0.04%]

With all this in mind, the chances of you dying because you are not fapping is fapstronomically low so don't worry."

2019-03-02 17:07:12 UTC

In terms of maximally reducing prostate, urethral infection, etc, a few times a week or so.

2019-03-02 17:07:22 UTC

Dex is okay is the expulsion of fluids Too frequently that's a problem

2019-03-02 17:07:28 UTC

Sex**

2019-03-02 17:07:56 UTC

I'm on nofap now. Feels great

2019-03-02 17:08:01 UTC

It's a flawed study

2019-03-02 17:08:02 UTC

Note I did not mention only prostate cancer, but prostatitis, urethral infections, etc.

2019-03-02 17:08:09 UTC

Also his concept there is hilariously misleading.
