Yeah. Aydin was talking about neo-feudalism saying something that went a little like free individuals living in small communities under a central king. Yeah, sorry, but the whole "free" part of that doesn't exist. I don't know what history book she cracked to reach that conclusion.
There is some sense to that. But in a modern world of rapid transit and mass communication you couldn't make it work.
She's thinking of a world where a goverment representative shows up like once a year to do a head count and collect a few carts of grain.
Yeah, cause it'll never get more intrusive than that. I understand the frustration with the democratic process, but there's a reason we don't use feudalism in the developed world
My point was that with modern tech an absolute monarchy would always devolve into a highly opressive system in no time.
