In biology it is not the term used, we say "Genes and the Environment".

For example, if someone is an amputee, hasn't had his legs for years, that is a product of his genes and the environment.

Well, it is true, everything is part of nature.

That's why I don't see biologists using the term.

He's not talking about propensity to believe in religion, he's saying there's a christian gene, a muslim gene, etc.
