My favourite darnedest thing leftists come out with is the "fallacy of relative privation". Not only is it not a formal fallacy, it's not even an informal fallacy, it's just an invention of a marketing firm.

It's not fallacious when there is actual precedent, as in the case of the slow erosion of 2nd amendment rights.
The case of the cooked frog, people get used to the lowered level of liberty when they grow up with it, so the next generation will accept yet more of their rights being stripped.
Things that would never stand all at once can be done instead in parts.
