as a general warning to folks as we approach the Storm, _make sure_ you can manage without power
just came out the other end of a typhoon that had our power out for 32 hours or so
things I didn't have ready, but should have:
- battery packs for phones/small devices
- a cooler (or two) that can hold refrigerated/frozen goods while the power is out
- sufficient food that doesn't require heating/cooking
- some means to cook food without electricity (camp stove, etc.)
