you should try out 6.5 Grendel, I just built one and it's a pretty sweet round if a bit pricy

2019-01-14 09:17:33 UTC

How much on average?

2019-01-14 09:19:09 UTC

lets just say you either have to be rich or a reloader to shoot it on a regular basis. that said I have a an AR-15 with a Dolos quick detach barrel system that I built so I also have a 5.56 barrel for it

2019-01-14 09:19:48 UTC

around $15 to $20 for a box of 20 match grade rounds

2019-01-14 09:20:57 UTC

there's pretty much no mid tier ammo for it but wolf make some shitty steel cased ammo for it though I would never consider feeding that into my precision grade barrel

2019-01-14 09:28:39 UTC

I wouldnt either

2019-01-14 09:30:22 UTC

One thing I've found since going MTGOW though is I have stupid quantities of disposable income so I can afford to splurge on shit like that

2019-01-14 10:43:16 UTC

Nice isnt it? I'm so used to spending money on other people I forgot what it was like to spend money on myself

2019-01-14 10:53:34 UTC

no doubt about that, I have no debt and even though I only make $38,000 a year I still have plenty of money in my fun budget after savings and bills

2019-01-14 10:54:51 UTC

That's pretty awesome actually

2019-01-14 10:57:16 UTC

MGTOW has made me actually seriously consider becoming a fighter pilot

2019-01-14 10:57:42 UTC

just found out they're more lenient on vision now, and I'm never getting married so I don't care about my schedule anymore

2019-01-14 10:58:22 UTC

If you want to do it, do it I believe as long as you're vision is correctable to 20/20 you should be fine though don't quote me on that

2019-01-14 10:58:37 UTC

yeah that's the standard now

2019-01-14 10:58:46 UTC

the main issue guys run into is color vision

2019-01-14 10:58:49 UTC

and I don't have astigmatism or anything like that

2019-01-14 10:59:40 UTC

talk to a recruiter, keep in mind though the selection process is pretty intense for that job

2019-01-14 11:00:26 UTC

do you have a collage education already? fighter pilots are all officers so I know there is a requirement for that

2019-01-14 11:01:06 UTC

yeah I'm about to graduate in May

2019-01-14 11:01:32 UTC

I've always wanted to fly planes but I thought you were immediately disqualified if you had glasses, so I never pursued it

2019-01-14 11:02:55 UTC

well it never hurts to ask a recruiter though I recommend if you can, that you get a prior service guy who knows what's up to go with you because recruiters will bullshit you a lot

2019-01-14 11:03:04 UTC

Be prepared for A LOT of math

2019-01-14 11:03:29 UTC

My old man was a naval flight officer and he said there was a metric fuck ton of math and he didnt even fly

2019-01-14 11:04:23 UTC

flight officers probably do more math than the pilots to be honest though

2019-01-14 11:06:32 UTC

That’s pretty cool, being a fighter pilot

2019-01-14 11:06:46 UTC

I was enlisted so I can't tell you what officer life is like but I do know they have a pretty serious selection process for jobs like that so be prepared to be put through the ringer

2019-01-14 11:06:49 UTC

You don’t mind the government sending you to your death?

2019-01-14 11:07:17 UTC

Listening to orders?

2019-01-14 11:07:48 UTC

I've always felt like I've wanted to serve my country but that I had a different skillset than just infantry

2019-01-14 11:08:08 UTC

and I love flying and fighter jets. I can't think of anything cooler than being a fighter pilot

2019-01-14 11:08:10 UTC

like holy shit

2019-01-14 11:08:16 UTC

I agree it is cool

2019-01-14 11:08:37 UTC

But there is no glory in war anymore in my opinion

2019-01-14 11:08:58 UTC

You die so that feminists get to pass more laws and talk shit about the army

2019-01-14 11:09:14 UTC

I was an engineer, so I got to deal with explosives on a nearly daily basis which I loved but keep in mind military life can be grueling at times

2019-01-14 11:10:44 UTC

My job was a combat arms MOS but much more technical than basic infantry work, lots of math.

2019-01-14 11:12:45 UTC

Is there even a chance for a large-scale war happening anytime soon? I doubt it

2019-01-14 11:12:58 UTC

So i guess now could be the best time to be in the military

2019-01-14 11:13:08 UTC

nobody really has the balls anymore

2019-01-14 11:13:18 UTC

What are the benefits you get? Pension etc

2019-01-14 11:13:24 UTC

Nah, peace time sucks to be in the military
