you should try out 6.5 Grendel, I just built one and it's a pretty sweet round if a bit pricy
How much on average?
lets just say you either have to be rich or a reloader to shoot it on a regular basis. that said I have a an AR-15 with a Dolos quick detach barrel system that I built so I also have a 5.56 barrel for it
around $15 to $20 for a box of 20 match grade rounds
there's pretty much no mid tier ammo for it but wolf make some shitty steel cased ammo for it though I would never consider feeding that into my precision grade barrel
I wouldnt either
One thing I've found since going MTGOW though is I have stupid quantities of disposable income so I can afford to splurge on shit like that
Nice isnt it? I'm so used to spending money on other people I forgot what it was like to spend money on myself
no doubt about that, I have no debt and even though I only make $38,000 a year I still have plenty of money in my fun budget after savings and bills
That's pretty awesome actually
MGTOW has made me actually seriously consider becoming a fighter pilot
just found out they're more lenient on vision now, and I'm never getting married so I don't care about my schedule anymore
If you want to do it, do it I believe as long as you're vision is correctable to 20/20 you should be fine though don't quote me on that
yeah that's the standard now
the main issue guys run into is color vision
and I don't have astigmatism or anything like that
talk to a recruiter, keep in mind though the selection process is pretty intense for that job
do you have a collage education already? fighter pilots are all officers so I know there is a requirement for that
yeah I'm about to graduate in May
I've always wanted to fly planes but I thought you were immediately disqualified if you had glasses, so I never pursued it
well it never hurts to ask a recruiter though I recommend if you can, that you get a prior service guy who knows what's up to go with you because recruiters will bullshit you a lot
Be prepared for A LOT of math
My old man was a naval flight officer and he said there was a metric fuck ton of math and he didnt even fly
flight officers probably do more math than the pilots to be honest though
That’s pretty cool, being a fighter pilot
I was enlisted so I can't tell you what officer life is like but I do know they have a pretty serious selection process for jobs like that so be prepared to be put through the ringer
You don’t mind the government sending you to your death?
Listening to orders?
I've always felt like I've wanted to serve my country but that I had a different skillset than just infantry
and I love flying and fighter jets. I can't think of anything cooler than being a fighter pilot
like holy shit
I agree it is cool
But there is no glory in war anymore in my opinion
You die so that feminists get to pass more laws and talk shit about the army
I was an engineer, so I got to deal with explosives on a nearly daily basis which I loved but keep in mind military life can be grueling at times
My job was a combat arms MOS but much more technical than basic infantry work, lots of math.
Is there even a chance for a large-scale war happening anytime soon? I doubt it
So i guess now could be the best time to be in the military
nobody really has the balls anymore
What are the benefits you get? Pension etc
Nah, peace time sucks to be in the military
