Walking through the forest is such a calming experience, it really draws you closer to your roots, to Mother Nature and the spirit of the wood. The bright light reflecting off the moss and ferns. So much green.
I understand that.
Hiking on a cool winters morning, that's my favourite. The wet woods and grass, it amplifies everything. The cool air cooling your body and the dead silence, everything is asleep or in hibernation. Deep greens and rain drops on the leaves, the cracking of frosted grass and twigs beneath your feet as you walk.
Heavenly. I love winter. Everything is so quiet after a snow. Death can be so beautiful.
Winter is lovely, to a point. Snow is so gross. Once it gets to snowing point, I'm inside baking and staying by any heat source. Lol
Haha.
I love the snow. I also love fall, probably the most. The crisp air, the clours of autumn, and turtlenecks... nothing beats the fashion of late-year.
Spring is my favourite. It's around September here. So sundresses, high tea in the garden and picnics. Plus really pastel and bright colours.
Are you in the Southern Hemisphere or something?
Oh, you're Australian. haha
Yes. Australia.
Yep! 😃
I've always wanted to go there.
What about my beautiful country makes you want to come here?
I should have ponnied up the cash for a plance ticket while I was stationed on Guam.
The wild nature of the Outback and your strange array of wild life.
Lol, everything wants to kill you here. People, animals and the government. It truly is survival of the fittest.
Speaking of wild life, I really want to study Abos in their habitat and really get a good look at them up close for Eugenics research, considering they aren't technically Human Beings due to genetic differences.
Northern Territory would be a good place to do that kind of research.
Also, Mad Max is fantastic. haha
And I should have guessed you weren't in the USA when you spelled "favourite" and "colour" with the 'u'. haha
I don't know anyone outside of my family that does that here.
It's the mother tongue, the Americans simplified it.
Very true.
I was homeschooled for most of my life and my mother has her teaching degree from London University, so I had a proper English education in a German household. As a first generation "American", I stayed very close to my European roots.
That's quite lovely to hear, I'm glad foreign people are keeping to true to the original English ways. The bastardisation of the English language abhors me.
Agreed.
I hate the amount of slang that is (somehow) creeping into my native German. Some of it is ok because of the evolution of languange, but a lot of it is being borrowed from American English and it simply infuriates me.
But I must head to bed, I've stayed up far too long and have a plethora of responsibilites to attend to today. Good night, it was pleasant conversing with you. @MsNatSocialist
