I've been monk mode for 12 -15 years solid but on and off pretty much my whole life.

It got easier after that. Going monk is hard, and it wasn't my "choice" to. It was the hand that was "dealt" in the end, and after the "whining" I figured I had to play it the best I could. All in....balls deep. What a lucky thing indeed.

For me whenever I followed through on attraction I was always disappointed. Best case scenario is that I would bust a nut and feel like it wasn't even worth the calories that I burned. But my experience is probably not normal.

Me? I'm semi-retired...freaking busy.........varried interests...some cool skills, had some cool adventures (and a few more coming up) and I am much happier now at 52 than I was at 35. Much better now

At that point I began to see this MRA MGTOW thing.....and I disliked MRA because it wanted to work with women, have lobbyists, offices, and "leaders" speaking for me. My job sent me and all "white men" to "diversity training" where a militant woman from HR and a "person of color" would lecture us about how easy we have it, and how our company is about teamwork (no....our company was supposed to building a high quality product, didn't matter what color you were...do you job). I also remember the term "lookism" going mainstream that year and women getting much more aggressive sexually and also at the same time, demanding men to an "acceeesory role or fixture to them"
