It addresses the problem of loneliness amongst men.

2018-11-19 05:36:42 UTC

I've heard this on a few MGTOW videos, but men don't have to hunt and gather or create fire anymore so we're not fully "serving our purpose" I guess you can say

And most of those meds are only meant to keep you at a higher state of functioning but still dysfunctional enough to need treatment so that it's recurring business. Most healthcare professionals are not in the business of curing people, that would mean less money and job security for them.

2018-11-19 05:38:02 UTC

Situation is fairly bleak when it comes to health care.

2018-11-19 05:38:05 UTC

@GingerSnaps exactly it's about zombification and getting back to your job in the production line, not fixing uou

2018-11-19 05:38:09 UTC

You*

2018-11-19 05:38:17 UTC

That's sort of what SSRIs do.

2018-11-19 05:38:43 UTC

I know of this guy who has BPD, he's been prescribed those and he feels like a zombie when he's on it.

2018-11-19 05:39:31 UTC

at least it's doing something for him. THey're clinically proven to be only as effective as a placebo.

2018-11-19 05:39:46 UTC

Oh? Do you have an article for that?

2018-11-19 05:39:54 UTC

I mean he says so, not sure if it really is like that.

2018-11-19 05:40:05 UTC

Not off the top of my head.

2018-11-19 05:40:25 UTC

I was on an antidepressants that had fluoride in it and I had no feelings whatsoever. Never happy/sad/mad, anything

2018-11-19 05:40:37 UTC

Technically it worked I guess

2018-11-19 05:41:12 UTC

@ColdEmbraceOfDeath almost every crime you see reported when a person does some unthinkable shit with total calm they are on ssri's and it never gets reported

2018-11-19 05:42:17 UTC

```Antidepressants are supposed to work by fixing a chemical imbalance, specifically, a lack of serotonin in the brain. Indeed, their supposed effectiveness is the primary evidence for the chemical imbalance theory. But analyses of the published data and the unpublished data that were hidden by drug companies reveals that most (if not all) of the benefits are due to the placebo effect. Some antidepressants increase serotonin levels, some decrease it, and some have no effect at all on serotonin. Nevertheless, they all show the same therapeutic benefit. Even the small statistical difference between antidepressants and placebos may be an enhanced placebo effect, due to the fact that most patients and doctors in clinical trials successfully break blind. The serotonin theory is as close as any theory in the history of science to having been proved wrong. Instead of curing depression, popular antidepressants may induce a biological vulnerability making people more likely to become depressed in the future.```
2018-11-19 05:43:03 UTC
Damn, this sounds like some Shady shit these companies are up to.
2018-11-19 05:43:26 UTC
We live in a time where people are just cash cows, messed up that people are messing with lives and mental health of other people.
2018-11-19 05:44:30 UTC
Yeah a lot of SSRI's have flouride in them. Flouride is a neurotoxin that calcifies your pineal gland and causes aluminum build up in your system especially brain.
2018-11-19 05:44:56 UTC
Yeah no joke if you do not look out for yourself and have a bit of knowledge you WILL be taken advantage of
2018-11-19 05:45:10 UTC
I am curious: What do you folks think about this user's views on the election system?
2018-11-19 05:45:28 UTC
Only thing anybody can do at this point on an individual level is I guess.
2018-11-19 05:45:51 UTC
Actually it calcifies everything it comes into contact. ANd there's little to no evidence that it actually prevents cavities, etc.
2018-11-19 05:45:53 UTC
To maybe genuinely listen to depressed men and offer solutions to their problems, help them act on said solutions.
2018-11-19 05:46:12 UTC
@GingerSnaps it's basically poisob
2018-11-19 05:46:19 UTC
Poison*
2018-11-19 05:46:40 UTC
@Reaper thanks i was trying to get there. lol
2018-11-19 05:47:29 UTC
Those are reasons why I'm reluctant to start using anti depressants. I still believe it's possible to "turn around" from whatever mental trajectory I'm on and improve.
2018-11-19 05:47:42 UTC
@ColdEmbraceOfDeath I have found just letting a man express his problems and talking about it with him without judgement does more than any gynocentric therapist
2018-11-19 05:48:02 UTC
Also focus on how much sleep you get and what and how much you eat
2018-11-19 05:48:12 UTC
Your physiology is heavily tied to your mental health.
2018-11-19 05:48:14 UTC
@GingerSnaps I've looked into it as well there is nothing good about it
2018-11-19 05:48:24 UTC
@Reaper very true. I already feel loads better talking about my issues with everyone here
2018-11-19 05:48:31 UTC
2018-11-19 05:48:50 UTC
@Mab Asakura FWIW I was always told that medication is only supposed to help about 30%, just enough to get you up and going outside which helps another 30%. So cut to the chase and go outside (joke)
2018-11-19 05:49:18 UTC
@Mab Asakura think about your problem, talk about your problems, do something about it... only path to self improvement
2018-11-19 05:49:27 UTC
@Iheanacho I agree completely and would go so far as to say that it's the truth.
2018-11-19 05:49:48 UTC
@ColdEmbraceOfDeath my sleep hygiene as been absolute garbage ever since college days... And I graduated 3 years ago. I keep telling myself I need to fix it but habits are hard lol. Lately I've been getting in the habit of falling asleep to mgtow vids like HHH, TFM, Sydney, etc
2018-11-19 05:50:40 UTC
@GingerSnaps That's one, any others? I want to hear all your opinions on ContraWolf's point of view.
2018-11-19 05:50:48 UTC
I am curious to know what the MGTOW thinks of it.
