How does it hurt true victims?not achieving a conviction doesnt hurt the victim.And as it stands in the US, you should *allways* aquitt. Doesnt matter if you have video of the guy hunting her down, pinning her to the ground and taking her as she struggles - couldve been some roleplay, she couldve had a safeword, surely more common than rape - but the judge may not have allowed this being used in the defense.

As long as evidence can be excluded, a fair trial is impossible, and where a fair trial is impossible, a conviction is unconcionable
