ok
so
what I said was integrate
the goal is to use the position you are already in to make yourself a living god
Even so in a position that wouldn't be netting me 90k with an excellent 401k and benefits, such as the positions you have open for tier one desktop, I am usually turned down. I present myself well, I am fit, I am well spoken, etc. but I lack a degree. I am unsure of how to move forward.
>convo finally refollows you on twitter shortly after you RT a dumb anime meme
What's convo's twitter account? @northern_confederate
right, I feel like that's a very vague answer, despite it, I appreciate the advice, please do not take my query for more specification as unappreciation.
bro
not trying to be vague
like for me, my goal was to own my own consultancy
I worked contract after contract
doing netsec shit
I was most interested in physical pentesting
and the place I was working at prior to building my company was an Airline
I introduced physical pentesting to them after pushing them for months that I could walk around without being challenged
on an active airport
My director didnt listen
so I went to the CFO
I told him that I could break into his office, steal his credentials and use them to get into most areas of one of the hangars that is locked down
he liked my arrogance
and I proved myself
you have to take risks
dont be scared to ask for opportunities to do more
and if people are not willing to listen, then go above them
and make sure you can back your ass up
Anyways
moral of the story
My escapades got around
I got job offers by DHS and TSA
I turned them down and used some of my contacts as my first customer base
started moonlighting
after several months, I voluntarily ended my contract 3 days before it expired
and started CTI.SEC
partnered with a long-time friend and colleague
very cool to turn down what's prob cushy jobs to make it on your own
that is very cool
question, and please do not take this the wrong way, did you have wealthy parents?
no
