Tavistock Institute is some think tank thing that comes up in some conspiracy theories, I don't know too much about it but I believe the general idea is these guys worked out how to break people so they'd be easy to control and the powers that be have been working towards using their ideas ever since.
In the goodfella video about this family he mentioned something about them saying they are raising their kid in accordance with recommendations of some Tavistock org.

Listening to goodfella's vid it sounded like the kid is actively trying to assert the fact he is a boy but his parents aren't having any of that.

@Dresden I read a book by Anonymous Conservative which suggested when they describe those sort of symptoms they may not actually be lying for attention.
It may be that they have narcissistic personality disorder and actually experience those symptoms when challenged effectively.
