are there any knife nerds on
i know knives
im trying to decide on a large sheath knife that i can attach to molle webbing and im the most indecisive person in the world when buying stuff, i cant remember knife brands super well other than a few, but dont know whats good on sheath knives. a bayonet will not attach on my setup
you're looking for a fixed blade
what's your price range?
less than $200
i dont wanna be a cheapass but i dont wanna pay much more than $100 but i dont know the market and such
it just seems like something i should have
what do you want it to be used for?
I have a spyderco paramilitary g2 on a clip as edc
i have a small SOG knive as well
but yeah the knife for after i run out of pistol rounds so to speak
i havent explored this part of the market for years, dunno whats good
that seems cheap, wonder if its shit.
I'd get a full plain blade, serration is annoying
but ka-bar is generally pretty good
yeah seems good enough to carry
mlok prevents me a bayonet so i ruled out looking at those
you have any large fixed knives you prefer?
those are pretty cool
no guard is a bummer but i might scope that brand out a bit
i don't like guards
don't fight with a knife
it's a tool
it is a tool
hmm well if i like guards, any recommendations?
im picking yuor brain to see what other knives you like
this brand has always gotten good reviews, never really handled one though, seems like a good choice on the budget end https://www.amazon.com/Morakniv-Bushcraft-Carbon-Fixed-4-3-Inch/dp/B009O01H0Y
polymer grip might be better to you https://www.amazon.com/KA-BAR-1213-Black-Straight-Sheath/dp/B001AIAIP8/ref=pd_sim_200_5?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=ZN96YDKBAA1F11ZSQCH5
yeah i like a classic k bar
id have to get case additionally
but thats always been a solid knife
the polymer might be cool too
I think these morakniv options are better TBH
steel looks better
i feel like someone else told me about that brand the other day too
