So, once I get a little further in, i could easily go through quite a few little Nano boards

2018-09-03 23:47:35 UTC

Sounds pretty neat

2018-09-03 23:47:55 UTC

I should narrow my interests to something I can sell

2018-09-03 23:48:34 UTC

or something that would help me get a job

2018-09-04 00:10:42 UTC

Hell, I dont even have the drill bits I'd need for this DIY PCB project

2018-09-04 00:11:06 UTC

specifically I don't yet have any drill bits in millemeters, only fractional inches <:GWfroggyFeelsBaguetteMan:398569671290257415>

Wonder if the parts list, all told, cost any less than a Bugatti 🤣

2018-09-04 00:28:33 UTC

You looked at the retail(regular size) Bugatti Chiron? I really wanna make a StuGIII in this style

2018-09-04 00:30:20 UTC

for the 1:1 sized lego chiron, my first thought was, "how? technic chassis tend to be a bit flimsy/flexy"

2018-09-04 00:31:08 UTC

It's an aluminum chassis, with real wheels, but everything else is lego

2018-09-04 00:31:10 UTC

those trans-red liftarms tho

2018-09-04 00:31:33 UTC

oh ffs, aluminum chassis

2018-09-04 00:31:58 UTC

THATS CHEATING

2018-09-04 00:32:29 UTC

they should have at least moulded aluminum technic beams instead

2018-09-04 00:34:02 UTC

It's still 90% lego

2018-09-04 00:34:18 UTC

and then how many pounds of metal

2018-09-04 00:34:32 UTC

10% of a car is a lot of raw materials

2018-09-04 00:34:51 UTC

Maybe... 400lbs of metal?

2018-09-04 00:35:04 UTC

those flexible skin body panels though? gorgeous

2018-09-04 00:35:29 UTC

400lbs. so to answer the question can you make a REAL car out of legos? Fuck no.

2018-09-04 00:36:00 UTC

They used Technic motors

2018-09-04 00:36:06 UTC

nice

2018-09-04 00:36:14 UTC

And Lego BRAKES

2018-09-04 00:37:07 UTC

now to be honest they would have got better performance by going with a 3rd-party motor solution made FOR legos, IE compatible with them. theres a few kits you can put in your lego RCs to make them faster

2018-09-04 00:38:11 UTC

Technic 1:1 M4A1 when tho

2018-09-04 00:38:38 UTC

that flexible skin design is perfect for the enormous problem of translating a curvy sherman to bricks

2018-09-04 00:39:07 UTC

I can see a fully lego tank more possible than a lego car

2018-09-04 00:39:19 UTC

why is that

2018-09-04 00:39:32 UTC

Suspension is different

2018-09-04 00:40:01 UTC

Omg

2018-09-04 00:40:11 UTC

I just got to the part with the lego electric drill

2018-09-04 00:40:15 UTC

💚

2018-09-04 00:42:18 UTC

granted it looks insanely easy to make, and not many specialized parts

2018-09-04 00:43:21 UTC

the lighting is fantastic

2018-09-04 00:44:12 UTC

2,304 PF motors <:GWfroggyPepoThumb:400751103223922689>

2018-09-04 00:44:58 UTC

There's no kill like overkill.

2018-09-04 00:48:43 UTC

If they gave me the keys to the car I might have to crash it just to watch it explode 😄

2018-09-04 00:49:28 UTC

I'd love to work on some stupid project like this
