I'm going to get some Arduino Nanos to use with these, for when I have a good circuit/device I'd like to actually keep
What're you going to make?
I've been wanting to make some LED lighting for my PC case, I'm working on the RC tank. You can also make little synths with these things, and thats right up my alley
Also some small projects for around the house, for instance, i did a photoresistor to LED to have it only turn on when it gets dark, and I'd like to study more to see how I can use it to control the floodlights on the porch
also, longterm, plus, this wouldnt be mainly an arduino project, although the experience in wiring/voltages/etc will be helpful, but i want to make my own home security
I also want to make some LED lighting modules for my lego crap
So, once I get a little further in, i could easily go through quite a few little Nano boards
Sounds pretty neat
I should narrow my interests to something I can sell
or something that would help me get a job
Hell, I dont even have the drill bits I'd need for this DIY PCB project
specifically I don't yet have any drill bits in millemeters, only fractional inches <:GWfroggyFeelsBaguetteMan:398569671290257415>

Wonder if the parts list, all told, cost any less than a Bugatti 🤣
You looked at the retail(regular size) Bugatti Chiron? I really wanna make a StuGIII in this style
for the 1:1 sized lego chiron, my first thought was, "how? technic chassis tend to be a bit flimsy/flexy"
It's an aluminum chassis, with real wheels, but everything else is lego
those trans-red liftarms tho
oh ffs, aluminum chassis
they should have at least moulded aluminum technic beams instead
It's still 90% lego
and then how many pounds of metal
10% of a car is a lot of raw materials
Maybe... 400lbs of metal?
those flexible skin body panels though? gorgeous
400lbs. so to answer the question can you make a REAL car out of legos? Fuck no.
They used Technic motors
nice
And Lego BRAKES
now to be honest they would have got better performance by going with a 3rd-party motor solution made FOR legos, IE compatible with them. theres a few kits you can put in your lego RCs to make them faster
Technic 1:1 M4A1 when tho
that flexible skin design is perfect for the enormous problem of translating a curvy sherman to bricks
I can see a fully lego tank more possible than a lego car
why is that
Suspension is different
Omg
I just got to the part with the lego electric drill
