Okay, I just don't see individualism and collectivism as mutually exclusive. I think that there's certain parts of every system that benefit an individual and a collective in most systems of society.

Furthermore, I think that the community is the most important part of any group, because the individual cannot provide for itself without a society to depend on, the society can't survive without the state, but the state itself, like the individual, cannot suffice to provide for the common good, because the state must depend on the needs of the community if it's not to be corrupt.

Society is neither the individual, or the state, but the community of individuals of which depend on the state to survive.

This chat room is funny, because a lot of people deny that cultures exist, but it's so undeniable. Every different society has it's own individual customs and ways of operating, which develop from ways of life. This whole idea of individualism over collectivism seems so silly to me, it seems Ayn Randish. Human beings function biologically in groups, that's how human beings developed in evolution. You can't be an individualist and live as a modern man.

Basically you need both individualism and collectivism for society to function.
